for violin, cello, accordion, synthesizer, and electronics.

Like the imprint of one sound in another that still shines through, this piece transfers an electronic feedback composition to an ensemble consisting of violin, cello, accordion, and synthesizer. A genetic algorithm analyzes the synthetic sound and transfers it to instrumental playing techniques, creating an audible trace, the reverberation of another sound that is thus simultaneously present and absent. The ensemble acts as a distorting image, a reconstruction that emphasizes and dissolves contours, fleetingly doubles and overlays timbres, picks up on developments, overwrites and extends them in time, and gives the disappearing sound permanence.
